However, recent incidents show that popular outlets of cosmetics, both online and physical—those which claim to deliver imported products—are selling products without labels. This is creating confusion among the consumers about the authenticity of the products. It is impossible to find out if these are imported legally or have been brought from Chawkbazar. Recently, the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) fined several cosmetic shops at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex and shut down some of them temporarily. They need to be more cautious about the health repercussions of using these products.
