Free eye camp opens at Kalyanpur slum

A day-long free eye screening camp was opened for the under-privileged people of Kalyanpur slum in Dhaka today.
It was organised to provide treatment to the under-privileged people at free of cost at the slum.
Faaraz Hossain Foundation jointly with two other organisations -- USA-- based Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI) and Bangladesh’s Rights and Sights for Children (RSC) – inaugurated the camp around 10:00am.

The organizers said that the under-privileged people of the slum received free glasses and will be operated with a minimum cost if necessary.

Dr Syed Wasim, director of Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI), said, “We want to extend the service throughout the country. People who are willing to work on the issue can also become a part of this camp”.
Binay Das, general secretary of Faaraz Hossain Foundation and Jamal Abdun Nasher, programme manager of RSC among others were present at the camp.
