Man's body found in pond

Police recovered a man's body from Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram early yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Asgar Ali, 28, a carpenter, said Delowar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sitakunda Police Station.

On information from locals, a team of police led by OC Delowar recovered the body from a pond in Sayedpur Union in the upazila at 12:30am.

The body bore no injury marks, the OC said. A case has been filed in this regard, he informed.
