Today is the ninth death anniversary of freedom-fighter Col (retd) Akbar Hossain, former minister and BNP leader, said a press release.
On this occasion, several milad mahfils, special prayers and iftar mahfils will be held today after Asr prayers at Sangraish Saleha High school in Comilla, at district BNP office and at his grave in Monoharganj.  
His family members requested all to attend and pray for his departed soul.
