NCC polls: BGB deployed in Narayanganj

Paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was deployed in Narayanganj this afternoon ahead of city corporation election there on December 22.

A total of 22 platoons of BGB were deployed around 4:00pm, a local correspondent reports quoting Returning Officer Nuruzzaman Talukdar.

Embargo on outsiders

Meanwhile, Narayanganj district administration imposed a restriction on outsiders staying in the electoral areas since early hours of tomorrow (12:01am Tuesday).

As per electoral rule, no outsider is allowed to stay in Narayanganj city for the sake of fair and peaceful voting.

The district administration today announced this embargo through loud speakers at the city’s different spots.
