11 injured in jackal attack in N'ganj

At least 11 people, including five children, were injured in separate incidents when a pack of jackals went on a rampage and bit them in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj on Saturday night.

The injured are Ibrahim, Zakir , and Sanjida, of Nayanabad village; Amir Hossain, 8, Askar Ali, 5, and Murad,2, of Champak Nagar village; Asabuddin of Jangalia village; Jhunu , and Abu Taher, 6, of Lalurkandi village; Meherun Nessa, of Baher Char village, and Abdul Awal, of Islampur village.

They were shifted to Infectious Disease Hospital in the capital's Mohakhali yesterday, said Araihazar upazila Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Habib Ismail Bhuiyan.
