1) Bluenose
The "Bluenose" won the International Fisherman's Trophy race held in the 1920s and '30s four times in just seven entries. She was immortalized on the Canadian dime in 1937, although the design was changed in 2001 (many older coins, of course still being in circulation). In 1955 both the "Bluenose" and her captain, Angus Walters, were inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. The "Bluenose II," a replica of the original built to preserve heritage rather than race, was built in 1963 and sold to the province of Nova Scotia in 1971. She is now dry-docked in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, where she can be toured.
