 Holiday Eid Destinations
Dear readers, we like to greet you in advance for the Eid-ul-Azha and New Year 2007. This time there is a chance of the two festivals taking place on the same day.
You know over the last four years our 'Star Holiday' team discovered 30 new tourist destinations in Bangladesh. But other than Sundarbans, Cox's Bazar and Srimongol areas, most of new destinations are not well equipped with facilities which can accommodate mass tourists.  Indian Silverbill, White-bresated or White-backed Munia Lonchura malabarica
One of the common smaller birds of man-made areas, countryside and lightly wooded areas of the country. Pale brown and white munia with long feathers of the wings and long tail are black, and rufous barring on flanks. Bill heavy, small and boat-shaped suitable for gleaning grains from grass, paddy, millets and reed stalks. Builds a large nest of grass blades and locally available fibres. Often found with the bird sellers and in petshops who colour this with pink, red, blue or green. Some bird lovers also keep munia at home as a pet.
