TeamBDC to cover 1600kms under 48 hours

In 2016, BDCyclists, a community of Bangladeshi Cyclists, attempted a Guinness World Record for the longest single line of moving bicycles and succeeded. While that record has been broken already, the competitive cycling team of BDCyclists, TeamBDC is about to set another world record. And this time they attempt to go fast enough to cover 1600kms under 48 hours.
The official name for the record is "Greatest Distance Covered by a Cycling Relay Under 48 Hours." 1500KM is the minimum distance that TeamBDC has to cover to set the record. However, to celebrate the 50th Victory Day of Bangladesh, the team is attempting to reach 1600km. If they rode this in a straight line, from Dhaka, they would reach Bangkok at the 48th hour. 4 riders have trained and prepared for this attempt for the last year. They are Drabir, Tanvir, Rakib and Alauddin. Dabur Bangladesh is powering the effort with their brands Dabur Honey and Dabur Glucose-D. Prothomalo.com is also affiliated with the effort.
TeamBDC aims to drive competitive cycling in Bangladesh and this event is to bring more awareness towards the largely neglected competitive cycling scenario in the country.
Apart from these 4 riders, more than 30 others will participate in this record setting attempt as pacers. They are some of the best riders from Bangladesh.
The attempt has been started in Purbachal, Sector 27, Jaynul Abedin Chattar. To meet the rigorous documentation requirements, a 1.7km loop of road has been cordoned off. The team will complete 941 laps of this tiny track to achieve this record. The event has already started at 8pm, December 8 and will finish at 8pm, December 10. Regular updates for the rides will be available from the Facebook page of TeamBDC.
