No official decision on full festival allowance for non-govt teachers: Dipu Moni
Education Minister Dipu Moni today said it is not possible to improve the quality of education without providing financial and social security to the teachers of non-government schools and colleges.
The minister came up with the remark while replying to a query from journalists at Chandpur Circuit House this morning, reports a correspondent from Chnadpur.
About the non-government teachers wanting 100 percent festival allowance, the education minister said that there is no official decision on this yet.
"It is a matter of government's ability. All in all, we are considering how much can be done," she added.
Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Chandpur Police Milon Mahmud, Chandpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan and Chandpur Municipality Mayor Zillur Rahman, among others, were present at the time.
