A youth was killed allegedly by the caretaker of their house at Aftabnagar in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj early yesterday.
Ariful Islam Rana, 24, was son of Ansar member Mohiuddin posted in Rangamati.
Rupganj police Officer-in-Charge Asaduzzaman Mir said Mohiuddin purchased the house three years ago and employed one Palash, 24, as its caretaker.
But Mohiuddin asked Palash to leave the house after the former had started living in it since last month, he said.
As Palash refused to follow the order, he and Rana had an altercation few days ago, prompting the caretaker to hit Rana in the head with a hammer, the OC said, quoting locals.
Palash is on the run, he added.
