Women's WT20: WI win by 9 runs
West Indies won by 9 runs against England in the third match of Group B in Women’s World T20 at Sylhet Stadium today.
Earlier, Caribbean women gathered 133 runs while England chased up to 124 runs losing 9 wickets.
England won the toss and sent West Indies women to bat first.
Caribbean openers – Stafanie Taylor and Kycia Knight put a strong partnership of 87 runs – scoring 56 and 43 runs respectively.
English bowler Natalie Sciver picked up 3 wickets for 18 runs while Anya Shrubsole picked 2 for 25 runs.
Charlotte Edwards was the highest scorer, bagged 44 runs for English team.
Deandra Dottin picked up 4 wickets for 12 runs for West Indies.
