Renowned sculptor Novera Ahmed’s first posthumous solo exhibition began at the Bangladesh National Museum in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the programme at the Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium at the museum in the afternoon.
The exhibition consisting of 34 artistic works of Novera will continue until October 19. Some reproductions of her later works including her painting have also been added to the exhibition.
The museum has organised the special exhibition from its collection of the Department of Contemporary Art and World Civilization.
Novera also worked alongside Hamidur Rahman on the original design of the Central Shaheed Minar. She died on May 6 in France. She had been living there for the past 45 years.
