Why can’t we bring down road accidents in Bangladesh?
Maybe its because the general population is not that much serious about accidental deaths in the roads.
If they really were concerned about the issue and really wanted to do something about it then both the people and the government could have come at a term and act accordingly to resolve the issue.
In reality, deaths due to road accidents are on the rise and little is being done to bring down the casualties.
From the people’s side, the habit and obligation of abiding by the traffic rules seem to be not so popular a practics and from the government side, true commitment and enough efforts are just not there.
The road traffic situation, the condition of the highways in Bangladesh and the resultant road accidents have always been a heated issue in the country.
Unlicensed, unskilled drivers and unregistered, unfit vehicles rule transport system putting lives of passengers, pedestrians at risk.
But what the overall data of road accidents say about the country’s traffic situation and what are the insights can we gather out of it?
