A court here sentenced two siblings to life imprisonment for killing a man in 2003.
The lifers are Sohel and Jewel, sons of Hashen Ali of Bichipara village under Sadar upazila.
Netrakona Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hamid also fined them Tk 50,000 each. In default, they are to suffer another five years in jail.
According to the prosecution, the duo killed Anfor Ali, 55, of the same village over land dispute on April 7, 2003.
Wife of the deceased Fatema Begum then filed a murder case with Sadar Police Station, accusing the two siblings.
On July 27 the same year, police submitted charge sheet before the court against Sohel and Jewel.

Gaibandha
Away in Gaibandha, police arrested a man at Subonodaha village in Sunderganj upazila early yesterday on charge of killing his mother, reports our correspondent.
Son of Rahima Begum of the village, arrestee Shahaidul, 35, is a drug addict. He often tortured his mother for money, said police.
On Tuesday night, Shahaidul strangled his mother following an altercation over a trivial matter and dumped the body in a roadside ditch.
He went into hiding after the incident, said Jahid Arif, sub-inspector of Sunderganj Police Station.
