Biman reschedules 3 flights due to weeklong ban on passenger flights
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has rescheduled three flights bound for Kuala Lumpur and Riyadh due to a weeklong ban on regular passenger flights to and from Bangladesh beginning from April 14 amid the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
According to the rescheduled time, the Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur flight (BG086) will leave Dhaka airport at 2:00pm (Bangladesh local time) on April 13, Biman said in a press release today.
The Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka flight (BG087) will leave from the Malaysian capital for Dhaka at 9:00pm (Kuala Lumpur local time) on April 13.
The third flight (BG4039A) on the Dhaka-Riyadh route will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:30 pm (Bangladesh local time) on April 13. This flight was originally scheduled to fly on April 14.
Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh in a circular on April 11 suspended all international passenger flights to and from Bangladesh from April 14 following the government guidance and instruction.
Previously, the government had announced a countrywide weeklong lockdown starting from April 14 to curb the Covid-19 infection rate in the country.
