Traffic congestion in Gulshan
Gulshan, once characterised as one of the top places to live in Dhaka city, is gradually losing its attraction due to the massive increase of road traffic. Day by day the city is becoming more and more commercial. It is becoming one of the major commercial hubs of Bangladesh due to the growth of multinational and national corporate houses. Most of these offices don't have any parking lot. As a result, the cars associated with these offices are parked on the main street resulting in severe traffic jam. A bank has its head office in front of the shooting club which has no parking space and some steps ahead a mobile company has their new corporate office. There is chaotic traffic jam on that road as lots of cars are parked on the street. The law enforcers turn deaf ears to this problem.
The situation in front of Gulshan-1 intersection is the same. The on-duty policemen are helpless and cannot go against the law breakers as they are more powerful. How can we deal with the VIP law breakers whose number is increasing day by day?
