Tougher movement after Eid: Khaleda
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia today warned that her party would go for a tougher movement across the country after Eid-ul-Fitr in a bid to oust the government from power.
She made the warning while exchanging views with the elected BNP backed upazila chairmen and vice chairmen of Dhaka district at her Gulshan office in the capital.
“You (the elected local body representatives) are legal while the ruling Awami League government is illegal. So get ready. I will wage a harsher movement after the month of Ramadan,” she added.
Khaleda Zia criticized the government as the BNP supported chairman and vice chairman of the local body are being deprived of due government facilities.
“In this circumstance, just stay beside the people and work with them to ensure their overall welfare,” Khaleda Zia asked the elected local body representatives.
