After 5 years, I may not be working on any new films: Barsha
Ananta Jalil and Barsha have been in the headlines for various reasons, ever since their alleged BDT 100 crore film "Din-The Day" was released.
In conversation with The Daily Star, Barsha talks about her upcoming projects and future plans.
According to Barsha, they produce films to entertain people. "We don't make films after calculating profit or loss," says the actress. "After the next 4-5 years, I may not be working on any new project. We will make another film when we will feel like it, will be entertaining for the audience."
The actress also asserted that despite of lot of discussions surrounding their movie, they did not get enough support from the media.
"The audience came to the cinemas, many people praised it, even our news has also been published in the international media, it is sad, that no one said anything about it," said Barsha.
She also brought up the fact that her and Ananta's position in the fraternity cannot be compared with any other artiste, because they produce their own project and even if they want, they cannot invest in five other films at the same time.
The film industry is being revived, and the scenario is visibly changing. Upon asking how does she feel about this, Barsha said that people will judge how was this change brought. "It is the people who will say that which film brought the audience back into the theatres, I don't need to say this," shares the actress. "In order to keep this flow, we will definitely come up with something better in the future."
Barsha informed that their upcoming film "Netri- The Leader" has completed 60 percent of its shooting, and will be wrapped up by October. Shooting for the parts of Turkey is remaining.
"This film will be co-produced by Turkey and Bangladesh. We have already begun the promotions for it", adds Barsha.
