Whacky games to comfort you in quarantine
Untitled Goose Game
This is a great game for messing around in. Untitled Goose Game has you playing a goose, who's only goal is to terrorise the denizens of its locality. You progress through the game by manoeuvring your webbed feet through various grab and drop objectives. The game is a lot of fun to play and is easy enough for anyone to pick up.
Super Hexagon
Super Hexagon has a simple premise, get your triangle to the centre of the rotating geometric shapes without hitting any of the forbidden blocks. All while listening to some catchy music. What's the catch then? Well the game gets progressively faster to the point where you can't afford to blink. If you think you are willing to put up with that torture just to listen to some admittedly catchy tune, good luck. Just be easy on your keyboard, it really is not their fault that you missed a beat.
Broforce
Ever seen some of the 80's Hollywood action movies and thought, "Not enough explosions?" Well, the developers at Free Lives did. Enter "Broforce", a band of knockoff 80's action heroes who deal exclusively in excessive force. The game is a 2D run and gun where you can blow up everything in spectacular fashion, to the point of breaking the game itself. So, do you think you are "bro" enough to take on an elite terrorist Army run buy the devil itself? Yes? Then grab your nuclear grenade and dynamite chickens and get ready to redraw the landscape of various third world countries because Uncle Sam wants them liberated.
What the Golf
Most of us don't get golf and most of us don't intend to. With that in mind, the makers of What the Golf made a golf game that improves upon the original concept of golf – they made the game fun. Available on mobile and PC, the game gives you different kinds of courses, where your objective is to shoot items ranging from the golf ball to the human itself, to sometimes even aiming at a cow from the other end of a football field.
