The country's biggest technology expo Digital World 2020, co-organised by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Department of ICT (DoICT) of the Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and IT, was inaugurated by the President M Abdul Hamid on Wednesday. With the tagline 'Socially distanced, digitally connected', the 7th iteration of the event will be held from 9th December to 11 December for the first time entirely virtually. The inauguration and the closing ceremony of the event, however, was held physically.
Besides the exposition, several regular sessions of the event, including Ministerial Conference, will be held this year as well. ICT Adviser to the PM Sajeeb Wazed Joy will be delivering the keynote on the theme 'Embracing Digital Technologies in the New Normal' during the conference. In addition, 24 thematic webinars will be hosted as well during this three-day-long event.
The detailed schedule of the event can be found on the official website of the event: www.digitalworld.org.bd. Anyone can participate in the expo virtually by downloading the official app of the event by registering.
Evaly is the platinum and Janata Bank is the gold sponsor of the event.
