Apple fined for slowing down old iPhones
Apple was fined USD 27 million by DGCCRF, Directorate General for Competition, Consumption and Fraud Prevention, France. The company was fined for deliberately slowing down older iPhone models without making it clear to consumers. It was previously confirmed by Apple themselves in 2017 that the company did slow down previous models of iPhones but said it did so to "prolong the life" of devices. Apple however has said that it resolved the issue with DGCCRF, according to the BBC.
