Murtaja Baseer, known for his unique, individual artistic style, is considered one of the foremost Bengal painters and a versatile genius. Throughout his illustrious career, Baseer has gradually transformed his style into abstract realism. Baseer is still actively exploring the diverse world of art. He has done a series of works articulating contemporary life and issues. Hope, aspiration and strange visions are evoked with passion in his images. The exhibition is a must see for art lovers.

Colours of Friendship, Painting Exhibition

An exhibition of paintings by contemporary Indian artists is being organised by Visual Impact, in association with Dhaka Art Centre. The exhibition brings together artists from different parts of India, whose works vary from figurative to abstract, line drawings to landscapes and so on. The brilliant use of various media by the painters needs a special mention.
The participants of this show are Jogen Chowdhury, Suhas Roy, Thota Vaikuntam, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Prakash Karmakar, Samir Aich, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Wasim Kapoor, Jayashree Chakravarty, Aditya Basak, Atin Basak, Laxman Aelay, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Laxman Aelay, Sachin Jaltare, Babu Xavier and Kazi Anirban.
Essence of Nature, Painting Exhibition

Although pursuing a career in graphic designing, N S Chowdhury Dancy is keen on working in the scene as an artist. She prefers mixed media for her artworks and uses acrylic, paper and other objects for her murals. In recent years, she has started working with metal. The artist hopes that the audience will find inspiration in her works.
In 2003 her solo art exhibition was held at Braddy Centre, London, UK and in 2009 at Harrow Art Centre, London, UK.
Live Stand-up Comedy Show at Naveed's Comedy Club

Srote er 33 Abritti Kormoshala

Srote Abritti Sangsad is about to organise a four month long Poetry Recitation Workshop. Classes will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 4pm.
Noted specialists in the likes of poet Asad Chowdhury, Professor Nironjon Adhikary, Mir Barkat, Hasan Arif, Shimul Mustapha, Rahul Anand, Masuduzzaman, Dr Robin Das, Salahuddin Kawser Biplob, Mostafiz Shahin, Fokrul Islam Tara, Shanta Sraboni, Nazmul Ahsan Tarun, Mahfuz Reezvee and others will conduct sessions in the programme.
