Swechchhasebak League, BCL clash in capital
Local leaders of Swechchhasebak League and Bangladesh Chhatra League were locked in a clash in which three activists were injured as they blasted several crude bombs and exchanged gunfires in Agargaon area of the capital last night.
With injuries, Swechchhasebak League activists Sajibul Islam, Ratiyul Islam and Faizul Islam were admitted to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital.
The two pro-Awami League organisations clashed following an altercation between Sajibul and local BCL leader Ariful Islam Ridoy over setting up shops at Agargaon Bazar Wednesday, said sources.
GG Biswas, officer-in-charge of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
No arrest was made till last night, he said.
