Styling in full bloom
The Bengali belle adores it; the men love to see women in it and the world stands in awe at the feminine grace that exudes from the wearer of this six yard of unstitched fabric. A Bengali festival without a sari is essentially incomplete, irrespective of the occasion.
And over the centuries the local weavers have seasoned their techniques so much so that Bangladeshi saris have gained a reputation the world over for their delicate designs and inherent quality.
From the sari shops lining either sides of Bailey Road, to the glitzy ambiance of an Aarong outlet, the intricate lanes of Mirpur Benarasi Palli or the suave setting of Aranya -- buying a sari is an experience in itself.
On the other hand, Bengali women also nurture a romance with flowers.
When a woman decides to adorn herself with flowers, the flowers demand her complete attention; in order to portray the full beauty of the flowers, other embellishments are neither welcome nor required.
