How did authorities miscalculate the duration, scope of mass vaccination program?
The government has moved from the six day long mass vaccination program scheduled to begin from August 7 because the country lacks enough vaccine doses in stock.
The government had earlier planned to administer around one crore doses during those six days, but the number of the jabs administered will now become significantly lower.
How did this massive miscalculation happen regarding such an important program? And how does this, and all the other instances of indecisions and miscalculations from the authority affect public trust in pandemic related directives from the government?
In Straight from Star Newsroom, Debjani Shyama discusses the mass vaccination program and its changing plans with The Daily Star senior reporter Mohammad Al-Masum Molla.
