Will journey home stall on Bangabandhu Multipurpose Bridge this Eid?

Over the last 24 years, the Bangabandhu Multipurpose Bridge has been facilitating road transport between the north of Bangladesh and Dhaka. Number of vehicles, commuters and the amount of transported goods on this route have also increased during this period.

Recently, construction work to widen the connecting roads of the bridge, as well as to rebuild the old bridge in Nalka, Sirajganj have begun. As a result, long queues of vehicles are seen often.

Will the journey home slow down on the bridge this Eid-ul-Fitr?
