Selina Hossain chronicling history
After 200 long years, British rule ended in 1947 in the Subcontinent. In June of the same year, Selina Hossain was born.
Throughout the exodus caused by Partition, East Bengal becoming part of Pakistan, Bengali cultural identity being threatened, and the turbulent times when the nation struggled for freedom, Selina Hossain spent her formative years in the northern city of Rajshahi.
She saw the world of politics through the eyes of the people. She immortalised their struggles through her manuscripts, children's stories, and novels.
