Nasum in for Taskin as SL send Bangladesh to bat
Bangladesh have lost the toss and have been sent in to bat first in their first Super 12 match against Sri Lanka at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium today.
This is the first time in four matches in this T20 World Cup that Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad has lost the toss.
"We are going to bowl first. Our bowlers are doing a good job for us. After the IPL, the wicket is up-and-down, can't guess what it is, that's we want to bowl," Dasun Shanaka, the Sri Lanka captain, said on winning the toss.
"We would have liked to bat first," Mahmudullah said. "We need to adapt to the conditions. Hopefully, it's a good one to bat on. A bit of a relief after that first loss. The boys are relaxed."
Bangladesh have one change from the team that beat Papua New Guinea in their last Round 1 fixture, with Taskin Ahmed making way for Nasum Ahmed. Sri Lanka have one change too. Binura Fernando comes in for injured Maheesh Theekshana.
