Tigers go through to Super 12 with biggest-margin T20I win
Bangladesh have won the third and final match of their group B qualifiers against PNG by 84 runs -- their biggest victory in terms of runs in T20Is -- to go through to the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup.
PNG are all-out for 97 in 19.3 overs. Kipling Doriga played a spirited knock of 46 from 34 deliveries before Taskin Ahmed bagged his second wicket of the match, sending back Damien Ravu as the Tigers celebrated going through to the Super 12 with a net run-rate of 1.73. Shakib Al Hasan was the player of the match with four wickets and a meaningful 37-ball 46 with the bat.
Bangladesh currently sit at the top of the group but that could change if Scotland win their game against Oman. The hosts meanwhile would need to win by a huge margin of 79 runs to top the group and go through to the Super 12 at the expense of Scotland.

Riyad, Shakib propel Tigers to 181 for seven
Big knocks from Shakib Al Hasan and skipper Mahmudullah Riyad and a late cameo from Mohammad Saifuddin helped Bangladesh post a big score of 181 for seven against Papua New Guinea in the Tigers' final match of the T20 World Cup's qualifier phase in Muscat today.
Riyad scored 50 off 28 deliveries, laced with three fours and sixes, while Shakib contributed with a 37-ball 46. Opener Liton Das and Afif Hossain chipped in with scores of 29 and 21 respectively. Saifuddin later played a blistering 7-ball 18, with two sixes and a boundary, to finish the innings on a high for the Tigers.
Earlier in the innings, opener Naim Sheikh had failed to capitalise on his form from the last match and departed on nought while Mushfiqur Rahim, on the other hand, had yet another disappointing outing in the middle.
PNG's Damien Ravu, Kabua Morea and skipper Assad Vala scalped two wickets apiece for their side.
Bangladesh will now be looking to defend their total and win by a big margin against PNG to heighten their chances of advancing to the Super 12 stage.

Bangladesh elect to bat first against PNG
Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah Riyad has won the toss and elected to bat in their do-or-die contest against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in Muscat today.
After a six-run defeat against Scotland in their World Cup opener, Bangladesh bounced back against Oman in the following encounter with a 26-run win.
