Bangladesh choose to bowl first against West Indies
Bangladesh have won the toss against West Indies and elected to bowl first in their third Super 12 fixture at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium today.
Bangladesh have made two changes to their starting eleven with Soumya Sarkar and Taskin Ahmed in, replacing Nasum Ahmed and Nurul Hasan Sohan.
An injury to wicketkeeper-batter Sohan, who had previously suffered an injury in the abdominal area while training, meant that the 27-year-old has to be sidelined in this must-win game for the Tigers. Liton Das has assumed the wicketkeeping duty.
After a poor start to the competition, it is a do-or-die affair for the Carribeans as well -- to stay in contention for a place in the semifinals. West Indies have also made two changes to their starting line-up, with bowling-allrounder Jason Holder and Roston Chase being the new inclusions.
Playing XI:
Bangladesh: Mohammad Naim, Liton Das (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah (capt), Afif Hossain, Soumya Sarker, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman
West Indies: Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Ravi Rampaul
