Siddikur's comeback continues
Bangladesh's ace golfer Siddikur Rahman finished tied for 18th in the USB Hong Kong Open after a one-under-par (69) in the final round yesterday. Having started the day at 15th position with an aggregate of six-under-par (204), Siddikur carded three birdies alongside two bogeys at the Hong Kong Golf Club yesterday to finish with seven-under-par (273).
This was the fourth successive tournament and fourth of this month that the 30-year-old golfer avoided cut after having missed cut in six of the nine previous events the season. The decent performance in Hong Kong earned the two-time Asian Tour winner a paycheque of 24,000 dollars and lifted him to 28th position in the Asian Tour Order of Merit.
Meanwhile, the title of the two-million-dollar event was grabbed by England's Justin Rose, who finished with a total of 17-under-par (263).
