Infantino sole candidate for FIFA presidency

FIFA president Gianni Infantino is set to serve a second term after world football's governing body said on Wednesday he would be the only candidate for June's vote.
The 48-year-old has been in charge of FIFA since February 2016, after succeeding the disgraced Sepp Blatter following the corruption scandal which rocked the organisation.
The election will take place on June 5 in Paris ahead of the women's World Cup.
Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega had announced his intention to stand against Infantino, but failed to garner the required support of five of FIFA's 211 member federations.
Infantino has introduced plans to increase the World Cup from 32 teams to 48 from 2026, with the possibility to bring forward the expansion to the 2022 edition in Qatar.
Extras the top scorer

It's not a good look when the extras are the top score, but that's what happened to an Australian women's side who were all out for 10 on Wednesday.
It took six extras for South Australia to reach double figures at the National Indigenous Cricket Championship in Alice Springs.
Opener Febi Mansell scored the only runs off the bat with four followed by 10 ducks against New South Wales.
Roxsanne Van-Veen returned the unbelievable figures of five wickets for one run off two overs. Naomi Woods took two wickets with the only two balls she bowled.
The innings was over in just 62 deliveries and NSW only needed 15 balls to knock off their target in the scheduled Twenty20 match.
Nantes coach targets Cup final as Sala tribute

Nantes coach Vahid Halilhodzic hopes his side can reach the final of the French Cup as a tribute to former teammate Emiliano Sala, whose plane disappeared in the English Channel last month.
The 28-year-old Argentine striker was onboard a light aircraft taking him to his new Premier League team Cardiff City when it disappeared near the British island of Guernsey on January 21.
Nantes progressed to the quarter-finals a few hours later with a 2-0 win at home to Toulouse after goals by Kalifa Coulibaly and Anthony Limbombe.
"In two games we could be in the final. If the draw is kind to us why not go to the final? It would be a gift to pay tribute (to Sala)," Halilhodzic said.
