Ruman Sana and co test negative
Although the majority of national footballers had to go through some tough times after being tested positive for coronavirus ahead of the now-postponed national training camp earlier this month, the national archers have had a big relief to have been tested Covid-19 negative today.
Eight archers including Ruman Sana, two coaches, one assistant coach and four from catering staff were found free from coronavirus as they underwent the Covid-19 test at Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital on Monday, said a press release adding that reports of two catering persons were yet to be known.
The archers are now all set to resume the training in full swing from Wednesday as the BAF assembled the archers to prepare them for next year's Tokyo Olympics as well as for participation in a couple of qualifying tournaments for 2021 Olympics.
Meanwhile, the second and third batches of archers comprising four and six athletes respectively are scheduled to report on August 22 and 29 to undergo the Covid-19 test before joining the archery camp under German coach Martin Fredrick.
