Bangladesh under-19 team’s last round-robin fixture against their Indian counterparts in the Tri-nation Under-19s Tournament in Beckenham, England was abandoned due to rain yesterday.
Bangladesh were 19 for two in 5.5 overs, chasing a target of 245, when rain ended the game.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, India under-19s posted 244 runs losing all their wickets in 49.3 overs.
Captain Shubhang Hegde anchored the Indian innings with a 97-ball 69. Pacers Shoriful Islam and Avishek Das and spinner Shamim Hossain took three wickets each for Bangladesh.
The two sides had already ensured their final berth after confirming the top two spots in the three-nation affair. Bangladesh finished the group stage with 11 points from eight matches while India have eight points from six matches.
The final between Bangladesh and India will be played on August 11.
