The Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) has decided to celebrate Olympic Day in a different way this year in light of the coronavirus pandemic by providing stakeholders with special notebooks.

All member countries of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) observe Olympic Day on June 23, the day when IOC was established.

The BOA always celebrated by holding festive processions across the country followed by seminars and roundtables while also taking initiatives such as blood drives, planting trees and drawing artwork for children.

These notebooks will feature information about the IOC, the values and rise of the Olympics and the country's current disciplines, environment of sports and recognition in sports from international organisations, read a press release yesterday.

The notebooks will be disbursed among high-school students, sports control boards of different services, national federations, associations and divisional sports associations after the improvement of the situation.
