Zidane wants to return to coaching soon
Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, who is rumoured to be the one who might replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United if the Portuguese quits, has said that he will return to coaching again.
Zidane is one of the finalists of the FIFA’s Men’s Coach awards after his exploits with Real Madrid. The Frenchman, a former Real Madrid player, led the club to three back-to-back Champions League titles before stepping down on May this year. A lot of clubs in Europe will look to secure his services when he does want to return to the dugout and by Zidane’s own admission, he would not take long to return.
“I am sure that I will coach again before long," he told TVE as he attended a match his young son Elyaz was playing in.
“This is what I like and what I have done all my life,” he said.
According to a Daily Mirror report, Zidane also has a list of players he would take with him if he replaces Mourinho at Manchester United.
Zidane is believed to have included Toni Kroos, Thiago Alcantara, James Rodriguez and Edison Cavani is his list of players that he would like to bring in. Rumour Mill also suggested that he has this four players in the United side that he is currently practicing with on Football Manager 2018.
