Ronaldo to face Messi as Juve, Barca drawn in same CL group
The draw for the upcoming season of the UEFA League saw Barcelona pitted against Italian champions Juventus in Group G. It means Cristiano Ronaldo will face off against old nemesis Lionel Messi for the first time during a Champions League group phase.
The tie also sees Arthur and Miralem Pjanic, both of whom switched teams in a deal, revisit their old home grounds. Dynamo Kyiv of Russia and Ferencváros of Hungary have also been drawn in the same group as the Italian and Spanish juggernauts.
The draw, held at a television studio in Geneva, produced several other high-profile clashes.
Paris St Germain and Manchester United will clash in Group H, English champions Liverpool must face Ajax Amsterdam in Group D, which also features high-scoring Italians Atalanta, and Real Madrid play Inter Milan in Group B.
