Nepal’s Ranjit tests Covid-19 positive

Visiting Nepal national football team faced another blow just two days before their first of two international friendlies against Bangladesh when footballer Ranjit Dhimal was tested Covid-19 positive on Tuesday.
"All players and officials of both Bangladesh and Nepal underwent Covid-19 test on Tuesday morning and Ranjit of Nepal team was found positive," said Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.
"He has been admitted at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University though he has no symptoms."
Nepal had before tested its all 25 players and 11 officials after arriving here on November 5 and found no Covid-19 positive cases.
Back at home, Nepal left seven players out of the squad as four players tested positive before they started camp at Kathmandu and three more players also tested positive just two days before their departure for Dhaka.
Nepal are scheduled to play two friendlies against Bangladesh on November 13 and 17.
