Kings retain Federation Cup title

Raul Becerra's 52nd-minute strike helped Bashundhara Kings retain the title of the Federation Cup with a 1-0 win over Saif Sporting Club in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
The Argentina striker received a long ball from Jonathan Fernandes and slotted home to beat Saif goalkeeper Pappu Hossain at the far post.
This was the fifth goal in five matches for Becerra, moving him to the joint top of the list with Saif forward Kenneth Ikechukwu.
Ikechukwu, however, came close to regain his lead in the goalscoers' chart, but he was twice denied by Bashundhara Kings goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico in the latter stages of the game.
Bashundhara Kings have now won two Federation Cup titles in their third final appearance while Saif remained trophy-less despite impressive all and sundry with a young developing squad.
