Kings to face MSC in quarters
Bashundhara Kings set up an Independence Cup quarterfinal against Mohammedan as last edition's runners-up finished as Group B champions with a 2-0 win over Chattogram Abahani at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj today.
Kings came into the match on the back of two big wins over Youngmen's Club and Azampur FC, but they still wanted a win to finish as group champions despite the fact that a draw would have been enough for them to top the table by virtue of goal difference.
Eventually, after navigating some difficult moments Chattogram Abahani, they secured all three points when Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes broke the deadlock in the 75th minute.
Matin Mia launched a counter-attack from the left and although goalkeeper Pappu Hossain would deny his drive, Dorielton was on hand to dispatch the rebound.

The loss meant Ctg Abahani finished as runners-up and will face Group A champions Sheikh Russell on November 26.
