‘K9 is Spiderman, Wolverine, President of the USA’

Former Real Madrid captain and legend Iker Casillas was Los Blancos' saviour between the sticks for almost two decades. He guided his club and country [Spain] to many silverwares and Real Madrid fans gave him the title 'Saint Iker'.

Years after his departure, the current Real Madrid side is now led by a prolific Frenchman, a veteran who has been serving the Whites for over a decade. He is none other than Karim Benzema, whose prolific goal-scoring ability is giving the European giants massive victories in crucial matches.

Right after Benzema's monumental hat-trick in the Champions League against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Casillas went on to shower his compliments on Madrid's number nine.

"K9 is Spiderman. K9 is Wolverine. K9 is that building doorman. K9 is your best friend. K9 is your grandmother. K9 is the President of the USA. K9 is that guide that you jump with him in a parachute. K9 is your guardian angel. K9 is God! @Benzema," Casillas tweeted.

Benzema is the first player to score hat-tricks in consecutive Champions League knockout ties since Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid in 2017.

Iker and Karim shared the Real Madrid locker room for seven years while playing 205 matches together for Los Blancos. They have won one Champions League, one Uefa Super Cup, one League title, two Copa Del Rays and one Spanish Super Cup side by side.
