BPL resumes on Friday
The Bangladesh Premier League, country's lone professional football league, is set to resume on Friday at two separate venues following a 10-day break.
Uttar Baridhara Club will host Chattogram Abahani at Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium while struggling Brothers Union take on Rahmatganj MFS at Bangabandhu National Stadium. Both matches will get underway from 4:00pm as stated in a revised fixture today.
The local game's governing body wanted to resume the league on July 23 after a three-day break for Eid-ul-Adha but later were forced to suspend it following the government's country-wide strict lockdown. BFF president Kazi Salauddin and senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy yesterday met the government high-ups to discuss the resumption of the league.
