Stokes' pride, body hurt
England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes was left red-faced after a bizarre injury on the second day of the second Test against South Africa at Trent Bridge yesterday.
In the morning's fifth over, Stokes dove to his right to save a run off James Anderson's bowling and his slide on the grass dropped his trousers.
He then tried to leap to his feet for a throw, but with movement his restricted by his lowered waistband, he looked extremely awkward and appeared to suffer a side strain or from the effort.
Stokes clutched at his left side and remained on the turf, unconcerned that his boxer shorts were on display to the world as Stuart Broad and Anderson were first to check on him.
