'Windies will be a threat to all at the World Cup'
Former Windies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was impressed with how the West Indies fared in the five-match ODI series against England as they secured a 2-2 series draw by winning the final ODI in style.
Chris Gayle was in destructive mood, hitting a 27-ball 77 in the final ODI and is a real threat for any bowling side but for Bravo it was also the mixture of youth and experience which made him feel that Windies will be a real threat at the coming World Cup.
“I have talked to captain Jason Holder and others and I believe this team will be a threat to all teams in the World Cup which is going to be a very open tournament this time. Anyone can do well on a given day, but I feel confident about West Indies as we see a good mix of experience and youth,” Bravo said.
The young players in the squad also chipped in with Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope and Oshane Thomas doing well in different points of the series.
“We have some good young players who have been improving and developing well and it is good to see the way the team is doing against England which is the number one ODI side,” Bravo concluded.
