'WHERE STARS ARE BORN'

Favourite World Cup memory as a spectator?

Sanath Jayasuriya in every game of the 1996 World Cup.

Favourite memory as a player in the World Cup?

The game against India in 2007 as I kept watching Sachin Tendulkar when he entered the ground. I was out of the game as I was only concentrating on him.

Fastest bowler you faced in World Cup?

I felt it was Lasith Malinga in the 2007 World Cup. He used to bowl 145 km/h plus at that time but it felt like it was 160 because of his action.

Worst memory of the World Cup?

Being 58 all out against the West Indies in 2011 at home.

Best innings?

Aravinda De Silva in the World Cup final in 1996.

Best innings by a Bangladeshi?

Mohammad Ashraful's 76 against South Africa in 2007.

What does the World Cup mean for Tamim?

An event that creates stars.
