Tigresses cruise against Scotland
Bangladesh women's cricket team cruised to a nine-wicket win over Scotland in their penultimate group match of the Commonwealth Games Women's Cricket Qualifiers on Saturday.
After being asked to field first, Bangladesh bowled Scotland out for 77 in 17.3 overs, with Salma Khatun, Suraiya Azmin, Nahida Akter and Sanjida Alter all getting two wickets each.
Murshida Khatun's unbeaten 50 off 55 deliveries and 20 not out from Fargana Hoque then saw the Tigresses coast to the victory target for the loss of only Shamima Sultana's (0) wicket in 15.2 overs.
The Tigresses will meet Sri Lanka in the last match of the campaign, with the winners of that game qualifying for the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
