Tigers unwilling to risk Taskin in second ODI
Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo informed that they were unwilling to risk playing paceman Taskin Ahmed despite the fact that the player returned to the nets today.
Taskin had a back injury on November 20 during a BCL game and was prescribed a week's rest. He was subsequently ruled out of the first ODI which the Tigers won by one wicket. The pacer has been administered injections over the last few days.
The paceman bowled a few overs at the net session today but may not play the second ODI on December 7 against India.
"Taskin had an injection about three or four days ago. He has done a bit of gym yesterday and had a bit of a bowl today for five six overs. I'm not sure we want to risk playing him yet. There is a lot of cricket to be played, there are a few Test matches and also have opportunity to keep developing the other fast bowlers. So I don't think we want to risk playing him yet but he is on his way to recovery," Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo informed today.
