Three ODIs, two Tests for Tigers in SA
After a busy schedule at home, a few tough overseas tours are waiting for the Bangladesh cricket team. The Tigers will travel to South Africa in March next year as a part of ICC's future itinerary as the Proteas announced their summer fixture of the One Day International and Test series on Thursday.
Bangladesh, lead by Tamim Iqbal, will play their first ODI against South Africa on 18th March. The remaining matches will be played on 20th and 23rd March as all three matches of the series will be constituted for ICC ODI Super League.
Tigers' test skipper Mominul Haque will start the mission of the World Test Championship as the first Test match of the series will get underway on 30th March. The venues haven't been decided for any of the matches, however, the second Test match will take place on 7th April.
Netherlands and India will tour South Africa prior to the series against Bangladesh. Their ODI series against the Dutch will start from 26th November which will also be a part of the ODI Super League.
Followed by the Dutch series, the Proteas will be facing a tough challenge against India on their own soil. They will play three Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is against the Men in Blue.
Bangladesh last visited South Africa in 2017 where they lost all the matches against the home side. The Tigers still haven't won a single match against South Africa overseas.
