The slasher who made Warne a Blue
Most fans pick their club team owing either to family loyalties or, in the case of foreigners, based on which team's style of play they prefer.
However, cricket legend Shane Warne had a much stronger reason than either of those when he made a spur-of-the-moment decision to align with Chelsea.
The Australian recalled the incident on the London metro that led to his decision, which was made much simpler by a knife-wielding Chelsea fan.
Speaking about the incident, he told the BBC: "I had caught the train from Bristol to London and was on the tube when some guy with a Chelsea scarf and Chelsea stuff all over him came up to me and said 'who do you support?'.
"I looked at him and in his hand he had a big knife -- a bit like the one Paul Hogan had in Crocodile Dundee when he says 'that's a knife'.
"So I said I'll support Chelsea. And ever since then, I have been too scared to support anyone else."
The 49-year-old has also revealed that his favourite Blues player used to be close friend Andriy Shevchenko but now the Ukranian star has hung up his boots, he has a new favourite.
He said: "Like most Chelsea fans now, I would say Hazard is my favourite. He is an absolute gun and he is the star."
